This notice explains how Mahara WebWorks handles personal information when you visit this website or contact us about our services.
1. Who is responsible?
Mahara WebWorks, operated by Ram Mahara, handles information submitted through this website. Contact maharawebwork@gmail.com for privacy questions.
2. Information collected
We collect your name, business name, email, website or phone contact, and chosen demo type. We store the submission time and privacy notice version. Cloudflare may separately process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site, but we do not deliberately save IP addresses in the enquiry database.
3. Form and database
Submitting the free, no-obligation demo form sends your details to a server-side Cloudflare Pages Function. The details are validated and stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database for us to review and answer. Your browser does not connect directly to D1. If notifications are configured, a transactional email provider sends the enquiry details to our business inbox. Your stored enquiry remains available even if notification delivery fails.
4. Reasons for processing
We respond to your enquiry and discuss potential services. Depending on circumstances, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract or our legitimate interests in managing business enquiries. The form does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
5. Retention and deletion
We review enquiries manually and remove or anonymise details no longer needed. We aim to review inactive enquiries within 12 months of last meaningful contact, but automatic deletion is not configured. Client records may be kept longer where needed for contracts, accounting or legal reasons. Contact us to request a retention review or deletion.
6. Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website and D1 database; Google Fonts receives technical font requests; email providers handle communications and, where configured, notification delivery. Some providers may process information internationally under applicable safeguards. We do not sell enquiry information.
7. Cookies and tracking
We do not intentionally use advertising or analytics cookies. Hosting and security infrastructure processes necessary technical information.
8. Your rights
You may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, subject to applicable conditions. Contact maharawebwork@gmail.com. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner.
9. Updates
Notice version: 3 November 2026. We will update this notice if our data handling changes.
